You (Jesus)… are good… when life is not.  Lyric from “I Choose to Worship” by Rend Collective

Sometimes, life can be glorious, wonderful.  Other times, life can just kick you in the gut, leaving you wounded, uncertain about the future.

Sometimes those are seasons of trial, difficulty.  Other times they are seasons of strife, struggle… like you are in some sort of battle.  Those seasons can happen in our relationships… in our health… in our careers… in our finances… in just about every area of our lives.  Quite often, those seasons are short-lived.  But sometimes, they seem to drag on forever.

The year 2020 has been full of uncertainty and difficulty, and our online guest teacher this Sunday, Beth Mabry has endured it all.  She is one of our overseas missionaries and will be sharing all the new things she is doing, along with the struggles of life and ministry in a COVID-19 world.  Encouraging us that one thing is certain… though we may feel like He is distant in those times… God’s promise is that He will never leave us nor forsake us.  His love is just as real, just as true in those moments… as it is in the vibrant, abundant times.  Jesus is our constant in the midst of whatever season we face.  And He is always faithful… we can count on that.  And that’s…real life.  ~Pastor Steve – Eaglebrook Church
