Up to this point, the crowds had been excited, pumped up about the miracle of feeding the 5000 that Jesus had done the day before. They were wanting all the bread Jesus could give them… that is… until they finally realized He was not talking about physical bread… He was talking about Himself.

The excitement quickly turns to frustration, and this clash between confusion and understanding is only about to grow.
