Part Two:  Make God Serve You

In this second temptation, we are hit with a shocking surprise.  Satan, in an effort to get Jesus off-track and to go against the will of God… Satan quotes Scripture!  Satan does not misquote Scripture.  Satan does not twist Scripture to say something it doesn’t actually say.  No, he simply quotes it… and then he encourages Jesus to put His trust in the promises of God.   And so, the question becomes -- how could trusting in the Promises of God possibly be the wrong thing for Jesus to do?   Join us in today’s teaching to find out.
