As King David and the People of Israel are transporting the Ark of God to Jerusalem, there is an incident when the Ark begin to topple to the ground, and a man named Uzzah attempts to steady the Ark to make sure it doesn’t fall over. God’s response to this? He strikes Uzzah dead! What is this about? Why would God do such a thing? Is God over-reacting in pettiness and anger?

When we look at just a small section of Scripture, from our limited perspective we can misunderstand what is happening. But if we pull back our perspective, we can often see that there is a lot more to the story.
