Sometimes... if you can't be there in person to say something important... the next best thing is a letter. Today we have Facebook, Twitter, emails, etc, but in the ancient world letters were a critical part of communication. And the Apostle Paul had something "mission critical" to discuss with his friends back in Galatia. They had replaced living by the Spirit, with living back under the "law."
